Elbert Charles “Bo” Stafford, 83, of Lexington went home to be with Jesus Christ his Savior, Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at his home after a courageous battle with Multiple Myeloma.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 22, 2012 at Pilgrim Reformed Church Cemetery with the Rev. Jamie Kent officiating. Burial will follow.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Friday, December 21, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home.
Bo was born in Davidson County to John R. Stafford and Lucy B. Stafford. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a retired Supervisor with Burlington Industries, Denton Plant. As a member of Pilgrim Reformed Church, he served as an Elder, Deacon and Teacher. Bo taught the Tuesday night Bible study, as well as, the Women’s Ida Conrad Class. Preceding him in death are his parents, sisters, Louise S. Berrier, Inez S. Hege and Teanie S. Herring and brother, Johnny R. Stafford.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 61 years, Sylvia Stafford; his son, Greg Stafford and wife, Patricia; twin brother, Albert Stafford and wife, Elaine; special nephew, Lee Berrier and wife, Mary, two other nephews and five nieces.
