Bob Beanblossom

Mr B. R. (Bob) Beanblossom, age 89 of Beech Retreat Drive, Lexington, NC passed away Monday February 27 with his wife of 70 years, Sara by his side. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 3 at 2:00 pm at Holloways Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Craig Barnhill and Rev. Glen Gunter. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will see friends at Holloways Baptist Church from 12:30 until 1:30 PM Friday prior to the service. Mr. Beanblossom was born November 7, 1933 in Davidson County .He was preceded in death by his mother Troy Beanblossom and by brothers Joe Beanblossom and Tom Beanblossom. He was a graduate of Southmont High School and attended Ashemore Business College. He was employed with Gordon Foods of Raleigh until 1989 and retired as district sales manager with Cliff Weil, Inc of Richmond Virginia . He was a lifelong member of Holloways Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon and in other leadership positions. In his retirement years Bob fulfilled his lifelong passion of residential construction and built many houses on and around the High Rock Lake area. He enjoyed saltwater fishing on the outer banks of North Carolina and especially enjoyed his beach house near Morehead City. Both he and Sara enjoyed travelling throughout the United States and especially enjoyed holidays with their son, daughter in law. and grandson. He is survived by his wife Sara Leonard Beanblossom; a son Mark Beanblossom and wife Ginger of Memphis Tn; a grandson Mark Beanblossom, Jr. and wife Janie of Memphis, Tn; a Brother Jimmy Beanblossom and wife Gloria of Lexington.
