Bobbie Burleson Disher

Bobbie Nell Burleson Disher, 98, died Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at the Hinkle Hospice House. A private burial will be held at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Bobbie was born in Albermarle, NC, March 28,1928 to Lane and Mae Burleson. She married Robert Disher, Sr. on September 12, 1947, and the Dishers gave their uncommon devotion to their faith, their family, and a rock-solid future. Bobbie spent her entire professional career as a “stay-at-home” mom, and nobody ever did it better. She lived her entire life as a great example of Christian faith. Her uncommon devotion to her husband of 60 years and her commitment to her 3 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren was admirable. She served faithfully for many years at Second Reformed Church and later at Lexington Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grandson, Robby Disher, a great-grandson, Murray Hardison, a sister and 2 brothers. Surviving are her sons, Bob Disher, Jr. and wife Susan of Burlington; Eric Disher and wife Jackie of Lexington; daughter Lora D. Younts and husband Pepper of Lexington; adopted daughters, Dorothy Floyd and Beth Blevins of Lexington; grandchildren, McKenzie Hardison and husband Bart of Fuquay-Varina; Ashley Godley and husband Ben of Lexington; Lydia Cockrell and husband Joel of Winston-Salem, NC, great-grandchildren, Elias and Mary Marshall Hardison and Alex Godley, and one brother, Ralph Burleson of Charlotte.
