Bobbie Raymond Everhart, 73, of Alston Brook nursing home and formerly of East Holly Grove Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2006, at Alston Brook.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Revs. John Mocko and Jimmy Greene. Burial will be in Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mr. Everhart was born Oct. 15, 1933, in Davidson County to Robert Lee Everhart and Lena Mae Everhart Everhart. He retired from Davidson County Community College and was a volunteer firefighter with the Holly Grove Fire Department for 30 years. He was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church and also had served in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Miller Everhart of the home; two sons, Rodney Everhart of Lexington and Jeffrey Everhart of Salisbury; one daughter, Teresa Shelton and her husband, Browder, of Lexington; four grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Vanessa Allred and her husband, Branson, Jodi Young and her husband, Chris, and Alisha Everhart, all of Lexington; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the home of the daughter on N.C. Highway 150 South.
