Bobbie Moore

Bobbie Lee Moore, 75, of Britthaven of Davidson, formerly of Noahtown Road, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2008, at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel by the Rev. Steve Chipps, and burial will follow at a later date. Mr. Moore was born June 23, 1932, in Mercer County, W.Va., to James Walter Moore and Mary Ethel Beaver Moore. He was a retired employee of Norling Studios and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Jolly Moore of the home; four daughters, Sheree' Landers and her husband, Rick, of Gig Harbor, Wash., Betty Starrett and her husband, Juan, of Asheboro, Katrina Sisk and her husband, Bobby, and Staci Moore and her husband, Mike, all of Lexington; three sons, Bobby Moore Jr. and his wife, Deborah, of Clemmons, Tim Moore and his wife, Carol, of Lexington, and Joe Moore and his wife, Lorna, of London; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
