Bobby Bell

Robert “Bobby” Eugene Bell, 73, a resident of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at his residence.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Bobby was born on August 3, 1947 in Davidson County to the late Frank and Fannie Mae Thompson Bell. He worked for Fab Masters for many years, and then retired from Myers Tool & Machine in Lexington. On June 4, 1966 he married Sylvia Maxine Spears. Bobby was an avid hunter and fisherman and attended New Hope Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Douglas Taylor Bell.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sylvia Bell, of the home; children, Tracy Bell Walser (Derick) of Tyro and Kelly Bell (Will) of Lexington; grandchildren, Emilee Hicks, Cameron Walser, Tanner Walser, Ashley Whitaker, Christopher Burham, Mikel Dickens, Joshua Dickens, Emalee Dickens, Calliope Hicks, and Oliver Hicks; great-granddaughter, Vada Whitaker; and special family friends, Lee and Molly Hicks of Rural Hall and Timmy and Suzanne Dickens of Churchland.

Memorials may be made to New Hope Presbyterian Church, 200 Cotton Grove Rd, Lexington, NC 27292 and/or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
