Bobby Jim Briggs

Bobby Briggs age 90 of Briggstown Road, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021.

A graveside service will be held 2 pm, Friday, December 10, 2021, at Beck’s Lutheran Church Cemetery where he was a member with Pastor Chris Johnson officiating.

Bobby was born in Davidson County May 28, 1931, to Robert Lindsay Briggs and Annie Greer Briggs. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and upon return he worked with his father for many years in the sawmill industry and later was employed with Kepley-Frank Hardwood Co., Inc. before retiring. Bobby is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Lynn Briggs Miller.

Surviving is his loving wife of 70-years Evelyn Leonard Briggs; son Tim Briggs (Linda), daughters Gwen Koontz (Larry) and Suzanne Myers (David) and a grandson; Sean Mabe.
