Bobby Beck, age 74, Turner Road, Lexington passed away Saturday night at High Point Regional Hospital.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington chapel by the Rev. Allen Williams and Rev. Stan Martin. Burial will follow at National Cemetery.
Mr. Beck was born May 27, 1934, in Davidson County, to William Michael Beck and Macy McCaskill Beck. He was retired from Proctor and Schwartz, served in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired minister of God’s Way Revival Ministries. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, W.J. Beck and a sister, Oleda Duncan. He was married to Betty Poole Beck who survives of the home.
Also surviving are a son, Bobby Burton Beck Jr. of Lexington; daughters, Marilyn Nance and husband, Chris, Pam Smith and husband, Donald, and Ronda McCurdy, all of Lexington; six grandchildren, Nicole Kennedy and husband, Anthony, Bianca Mounts and husband, Michael, David Nance and wife, Shelly, Ashley Cline and husband, Bert, Eric Beck and Whitney Moorefield; 13 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Vada Williams and husband, George, Shirley Lawson and husband, Jack, Betty Queen and husband, Johnny, all of Lexington and Joyce Ann Gordon of Atlanta, Ga.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
