Bobby Lee Childress

Bobby Lee Childress, 44, of Hill Everhart Road in Lexington, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.   A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 7 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Pastor Jason Koontz officiating.  Burial will follow at Hughes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 6 at Davidson Funeral Home.   Bobby was born in Davidson County on May 21, 1974 to Bobby Ray Childress and Jeanie Fleming Childress.  He had worked as a frame builder for Stickley Furniture Upholstery and was of the Baptist faith.  He was preceded in death by his father.   Surviving are his wife Jessica Ann Childress, daughters, Savannah Fortner of Thomasville, Gabrielle Childress and Brittany Childress both of Lexington; mother; Jeanie Fleming Childress; brother, Danny Ray Childress of Lexington; sister, Renee Wilburn (Dennis) of Lexington; and one grandchild, Kaylei Hibbett and numerus beloved nieces and nephews.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hughes Grove Baptist Church, 547 Hughes Grove Church Road, Thomasville, NC 27360.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
