Bobby Jackson Cope, Sr.

Bobby Jackson Cope, Sr., 84, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, December 02, 2021, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, in the Salisbury National Cemetery, with military honors.

Mr. Cope was born in Davidson County on December 19, 1936, to Olin Ivory Cope and Grace Byerly Cope. He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was a loving father, brother, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Evangeline Coleen Mendilbles Cope.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Bobby Jackson Cope, Jr. (Lori), David Allen Cope (Donna), and Melisa Buchanan (Kevin); his sisters, Essie, Judy, Bernice, and Mary; and eight grandchildren, Dalton, Ashlyn, Heather, Amber, Stephanie, Zoey, Kayla, and Patrick.
