Bobby Franklin Davis

Bobby Franklin Davis, 92, of Winston Salem went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Friday, April 17, 2026, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at First Baptist Church of Welcome with Rev. Dr. Chris Griggs officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM, prior to the service at the church.

A native of Davidson County, Bobby was born on November 8, 1933, to the late Evie Lee Davis and the late Ida Nora Crotts Davis. He attended Welcome High School. Bobby was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Welcome and was retired from McLean Trucking.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty-six years, Joretta Swicegood Davis; and his siblings, Belva Lee White, Gilbert Davis (Helen), Bill Davis (Betty), and Joe Davis (Doris).

Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Tony Franklin Davis (Cindy) of Winston-Salem and Craig Jonathan Davis (Angie) of Lexington; grandchildren, Christina Moss (Lance), Chad Davis (Kelly), Evan Davis (Erica) and Carson Shepherd (Bryson); and great-grandchildren, Kelsey Moss, Anna Moss, Henry Davis, Owen Davis, Arlo Shepherd, Josie Shepherd; and his special K-9 companion, Jake.
