Bobby Dickens

Bobby Lee Dickens Jr., 34, of Lexington, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2007. A memorial service will be at 7 tonight at the homeless shelter on East First Avenue by Pastor Vernon Richmeier. A second memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Presnell Chapel in Banner Elk by the Rev. John Jackson. Burial will be in the Hicks Family Cemetery in Banner Elk. Mr. Dickens was born in Davidson County Aug. 13, 1972, to Bobby Lee Dickens Sr. and Joyce Hicks Dickens. He was of the Methodist faith and a former employee of Boone Rent All in Boone. Surviving are his mother and father of Banner Elk; two brothers, Timmy Dickens and his wife, Suzanne, of Lexington and Charles Dickens and his wife, Nancy, of Mooresville; and maternal grandmother Pearl Hicks of Banner Elk.
