Bobby Glenn Briggs

Bobby Glenn Briggs, 87, Lexington, went home to be with the Lord June 20.  He was born to parents, Carl and Mary Smith Briggs of Lexington.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 23, at Coggins Baptist Church, 1306 South Main Street, Lexington.  Friends may call one hour prior from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Burial will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 25 at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

He is a graduate of Lexington High School, Ashmore Business College, and the UNC School of Banking.  He has a banking career with Lexington State Bank for 37 ½ years and retired as Assistant Auditor/Vice President. Music was special to him, and he directed choirs in several local churches through the years. He was a member of Coggins Baptist Church and the Lexington Gideon Camp.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters, Mary Briggs Rachels and Betty Briggs Disher. He is survived by his wife, Judith, and a sister, Nancy Carlene Rierson (King), and several nieces and nephews.
