Bobby Hedrick

Bobby Ray Hedrick, 80, of John Young Road, died Friday, September 6 at Lexington Medical Center after declining health of three years. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 9 at Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. William Sowers. A private inurnment will be held at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. Mr. Hedrick was born March 10, 1933 in Davidson County to Fred Austin Hedrick and Ella Veigh Young Hedrick. He retired from Lexington Furniture Industries after 41 years of service and was a member of Hedrick’s Grove Reformed United Church of Christ. His wives, Loretta Edwards Hedrick and Dorothy Funderburke Hedrick, preceded him in death, as well as a brother, Bryce Hedrick. He is survived by his sons, Danny Hedrick and wife, Shirley, Steve Hedrick and wife, Diane, and Benny Hedrick and wife, Teresa, all of Lexington; his daughter, Renee Kaley and husband, Jeff, of Lexington; his brothers, Richard Hedrick and wife, Jainell, and John Wayne Hedrick and wife, Linda, both of Lexington; his sisters, Alice Mae Story and husband, Wayne, Audrey Jean Winebarger, Noretta Leonard and husband, Kent, Willa Veigh Winebarger, and Gail Robinson, all of Lexington; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Gwen Younts of Lexington.
