Bobby Hedrick

Bobby Gene Hedrick, age 80 of Robert Beck Road, Lexington passed away Monday morning (August 1, 2011) at his home after an extended illness. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday (August 3, 2011) at Hedricks Grove United Church of Christ with Rev. William Sowers officiating. Burial will follow in Hedrick Grove UCC Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday and at other times at the home. Bobby was born in Davidson County, January 1, 1931 to Lacey Jefferson Hedrick and Oneida Smith Hedrick. He was a retired employee of RJR Archer; a member of Hedricks Grove UCC and a member of Davis Townsend Lions Club. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Air Force; member of American Legion Post 8 and Amvets Post 13. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are; his wife, Sylvia Hedrick of the home; two sons, Randy Hedrick and Dwayne Hedrick both of Lexington; one granddaughter, Ashley Hedrick; one brother Noble Hedrick and wife Exie of Lexington. Memorials may be made to Hedricks Grove United Church of Christ, 3840 Allred Road, Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
