Bobby Hill

Robert (Bobby) Randall Hill, 71, of Welcome Bethesda Rd., Lexington died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at WFBH-Lexington Medical Center after a serious illness since March. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2013 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Huneycutt officiating. Burial will follow in First Baptist Church of Welcome Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Hill was born October 14, 1941 in Wise County, VA to Claude Richard Hill, Sr. and Nola Salyer Hill. He was a retired truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. Bobby loved to hunt and garden. Preceding him in death was his parents, two brothers, Kenneth Hill, Doug Hill and a granddaughter, Brandy Hill. Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Shirley Pickett Hill of the home; a son, Bobby Wayne Hill of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Carolyn Wood (Wayne), Denise Ferrell (Bobby) both of Lexington; grandchildren, Summer Tang, Brittany Lanning, John Wood, Stuart Wood, Skylar Wood and 7 of Anchorage, Alaska; 12 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hill, Jr. of Lexington; four sisters, Christine Harris, Ann Prevette, Patricia Britt and Linda Everhart all of Lexington. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Donor’s choice.
