Bobby Key Weaver, age 78 of Lakewood Court, passed away Saturday October 24, at the VA Medical Center in Salisbury after an illness of several years.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday (October 28 2009) at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Collier officiating. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery.
Mr. Weaver was born January 20, 1931, in Davidson County to Edward Charles Weaver and Blanch Lloyd Weaver. He was a member of Jersey Baptist Church and served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce Lee Buie Weaver, three brothers; Homer Weaver, Ronnie Weaver and C.D. Weaver and one sister; Kathleene Harper.
Surviving are one son; Keith Weaver and wife Robin of Lexington, one daughter Ronda Troutman and husband Roy of Lexington, one brother; Lloyd Weaver and wife Wilma of Lexington, three sisters; Lillian White, Georgia Seabolt and Guelda Tetter all of Lexington, six grandchildren; John Weaver and wife Cassandra, Amanda Troutman, Joshua Troutman, Derek Troutman, Daniel Weaver and wife Autumn, and Kristi Weaver all of Lexington, and 5 great-grandchildren; Jeremiah Troutman, Kenzi Hurd, Devan Weaver, Alexis Weaver and Gavin Troutman all of Lexington. Mr. Weaver is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 9:30 am till 10:45 am at Davidson Funeral Home
