Bobby Ray Kiger, 75, of N. NC Highway150, passed away Monday, July 12, 2010, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.
The funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Reeds United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Foster officiating. Burial with military graveside rites will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.
Mr. Kiger was born May 11, 1935, in Forsyth County, to Ernest Kiger and Alice Tuttle Kiger. He attended Rural Hall School graduating in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Mr. Kiger retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company and enjoyed doing little things that made him happy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Kiger.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dollie S. Kiger of the home; three stepsons, who considered him a father, Jeffrey Lee Perrell and wife, Carol, Bobby Neil Perrell and Timothy G. Perrell; two children by a previous marriage, Margaret Milos and husband, Johnny, and Bobby Kiger Jr., both of Rural Hall; he also had several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph Kiger and wife, Carole, Leslie Kiger and wife, Elizabeth; a sister-in-law, Jessie Kiger.
I greatly want to thank the Hospice family for such loving care that was given to him. I can never say thank you enough.
