Bobby Joe Koonts

Bobby Joe Koonts, 79, of Lexington died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, November 24, 2014 in Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Byers officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mr. Koonts was born October 18, 1935 in Davidson County to Joe Jasper Koonts and Racheal Koontz Koonts. He was a retired Supervisor for Stanley Furniture and a member of Becks Reformed Church. Bobby was a US veteran, having served in the Navy. Surviving are his wife, Janice Leonard Koonts of the home; a son, Michael Wayne Koonts of Indonesia; a granddaughter, Kristen Koonts; a great granddaughter, Lula Koonts, and a brother, Carl Wayne Koonts and wife, Bobbie of Martinsville, VA. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Becks Reformed Church, 2845 Becks Church Rd., Lexington, NC 27292
