Bobby Gene Misenhiemer, 74, a resident of Lexington, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021 in High Point Regional Medical Center. Bobby was born in Davidson County on July 10, 1946 to the late LeRoy and Trula Tysinger Misenhiemer. He worked for Burlington Fabrics, where he received several awards for his inventions, then retired from Thomas Built Buses in Thomasville. Bobby had a love for Ford Trucks and enjoyed sitting outside watching the wildlife, feeding the birds, riding his three-wheeler, fishing, and traveling. He was a founding member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his high school sweetheart and wife of 37 years, Jessie Beck Misenhiemer; and brothers, Roy, David, and Roger Misenhiemer.
Bobby is survived by his children, Jeannie Leonard (Bentley) of Lexington and Jamie Misenhiemer (Melissa) of Lexington; numerous nieces and nephews; and his little dog, Peanut.
A funeral service will be conducted Friday, June 25, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Pastor Jeff Perdue officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday night from 5-7 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in Floyd Baptist Church Cemetery.
