Bobby Spry, Sr

Mr. Bobby Wesley Spry, Sr., 70, of Old Salisbury Road, died Saturday, August 28, 2010 at his home. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday, August 31 at Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church, by Rev. Lori Anne Bowen. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Mr. Spry was born January 3, 1940 in Davidson County to Crowell Wesley Spry and Hanna Hazel Constable Spry. He retired from K.W. Arthur and Sons in Salisbury and was a member of Greer’s Chapel United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Sue Duncan Spry of the home; his sons, Kenneth Spry and wife, Johnna, of Charlotte, and Bobby Spry, Jr. and wife, Tamara of Clemmons; his daughters, Debra Calhoun and husband, Darrell, of Lexington, and Barbara Jean Goodman, and husband, Pat, of Linwood; his sisters, Delores Soloman of Linwood, and Nancy Jacobs, and husband, Buddy, of Salisbury; his grandchildren, Randy Calhoun and wife, Marielle, of Harrisburg, Dale Calhoun and wife, Jennifer, of Lexington, Charlie Goodman, and wife, Brandi, of Linwood, Crystal Asbury and husband, Tim, of Lexington, Wesley Spry and Keith Spry, both of Charlotte, Logan Spry and Nikki Spry, both of Lexington, Emy Spry of Salisbury, and Riley Essick, Luke Bowden and Currin Bowden, all of Clemmons; and his great grandchildren, Jordon Goodman of Linwood, Ethan Asbury of Lexington, and Alexis Goodman of Linwood.
