Bonnie Blackwelder

Bonnie Hervey Blackwelder, 75, of Lexington, NC passed away at home on July 27 in the care of Davidson County Hospice.

Born in Charleston, WV on May 18, 1948 to Phyllis and George E. Hervey III. She was a graduate of West Virginia University.

Bonnie was an award winning teacher and lover of animals. She and her husband, Jerry were married 25 years. They were members of Cotton Grove Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter Christy Ledbetter, son-in-law, William Ledbetter, grandchildren, Sofie, Emma, and Liam in Germany;  Aaron Blackwelder, his wife, Abbey Blackwelder, and their children Addison and Ada in State Road, NC.
