Bonnie Essick Kirk

Bonnie Essick Kirk, 90, a resident of Lake Drive 8, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 in the Thomasville Medical Center. Bonnie was born on August 19, 1932 to the late Emery and Ida Essick. She owned and operated Bonnie’s Beauty Shop for many years, then worked for PPG Industries until her retirement. She enjoyed traveling, riding motorcycles with her husband Bobby, crocheting and gardening. She was a member of Linwood Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby E. Kirk and siblings, Arlie, Ellard, Frank, Gilmer, and Harold Essick, Blanche Hanes, and Jean Leonard.

A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Dr. Robert Floyd officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00pm prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow the service in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Doug Kirk (Donna) of Lexington, Cammie Kirk (Michelle) of Lexington, and Regina Ridenhour of Richfield; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
