Bonnie Mccollum

Bonnie Crumbley McCollum, 88, of Brookstone Retirement Center formerly of Owens Rd., Lexington died Thursday, September 8, 2011 in Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center after one year of declining health. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers and Rev. Jerry Bowen officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday just prior to the service. Mrs. McCollum was born July 4, 1923 in Richmond County, NC to Joseph S. Crumbley and Louella McLean Crumbley. She was a homemaker and a member of Amazing Grace Baptist Church. Preceding her in death was her husband, Lonnie Thomas McCollum in 1997, a son, Joseph Allen McCollum, July 29, 2001, three brothers, Donald Crumbley, Horace Crumbley, William Crumbley and a sister, Irene Crumbley Shirley. Surviving are a sister, Ruby Swink of Greensboro, sister in laws; Bernice Crumbly of Rockingham, Velva Crumbley of Kannapolis, and several nieces and nephews.
