Bonnie Ruth Wood

Bonnie Ruth Wood, 55, of Plum Orchard Drive, died Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Cody Milliron officiating. Burial will follow at Reeds United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Ms. Wood was born January 18, 1960, in Davidson County, to Bobby Dwight Wood and Barbara Jean Williford Wood. She loved children and enjoyed them so much she had a daycare at her home. She was a compassionate and loving lady who also enjoyed riding the motorcycle. She had also worked at The Colonial Group. Her father, Bobby Dwight Wood and brother-in-law, Glenn Huffman preceded her in death. Surviving are daughter, Ashley Swiney of Lexington; mother, Barbara Wood; sister, Beverly Huffman of Lexington; nephews, Damon Huffman and wife Joy, and Jason Huffman; companion, John Beaver of Lexington; stepsons, John Stephen Beaver and Dustin Alexander Beaver, both of Lexington. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Forsyth Hospital, 9th floor Oncology staff for the care given to Ms. Wood.
