Bradley Wayne Smith

Bradley Wayne Smith, 43, of Prospectors Way, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Hinkle Hospice House, following an extended illness. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 14, 2014, at Trinity United Methodist Church with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home. Brad was born October 1, 1970, in Davidson County, to Gary Wayne Smith and Norma Segers Brown. He was a self employed civil engineer and of the Methodist faith. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mozelle Segers, Jewel Segers and Thomas Bates. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Hulin Brown of Lexington; uncles, David Segers and Danny Bates; grandmother, Frances Bates; cousins, Chris Segers and wife Kelly, Richard Segers, and Jacob Segers; and stepsisters, Kim Williams, Sharon Mandrano, and Alison Greene.
