Brady Holton Warner

March 30, 1943 — August 26, 2023

Brady Holton Warner, Jr., aged 80, passed away due to trauma from a fall on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Reston Hospital in Reston, Virginia. He was born on March 30, 1943, in Davidson County, North Carolina, to his parents, Brady Holton Warner, Sr. and Clara Norene Berrier Warner. A Phi Kappa Phi graduate of North Carolina State University in electrical engineering, Brady was recruited by Bell Labs, went on to earn his masters at the University of Michigan, and became a trailblazer in the field of satellite telecommunications, holding multiple patents which advanced that field. Despite frequent relocations around the country, Brady always considered himself a Carolina boy, and maintained his membership to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, the church of his formative years, hoping to return to the area one day for a peaceful retirement full of fishing. Brady is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Carol Dorsett Murphy Warner. He is also survived by his loving daughter, Leah Rebecca Anton, and her husband Michael, who were a source of pride and joy in his life. Brady's memory will be fondly cherished by his sisters, Carla Robbins and Lynn Sink and husband Steve, as well as his brother-in-law Ray Murphy Jr. and Ray's wife Carolyn. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Ronnie Robbins. Their close-knit family bonds provided him with lifelong comfort and companionship. He leaves behind a lasting legacy through his two beloved grandchildren, Abigail Anton and George Anton, who will carry forward his wisdom, values, and love. A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate Brady's life will be held at Bethany United Church of Christ on Friday, September 1, 2023, at 2:00 pm, with Pastor Ted Wilkinson officiating. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects and offer condolences during the visitation at Davidson Funeral Home - Hickory Tree Chapel from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm. Davidson Funeral Home – Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the Warner family.
