Brenda Floyd Hancock

Mrs. Brenda Floyd Hancock, age 69 a humble servant of the Lord left us on Saturday, June 18 at Hinkle Hospice House after a long illness.  She was a resident of Holloways Church Road, Lexington.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Holloways Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Rev. Dana Slack.  Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hancock was born July 30, 1952 in Davidson  County to J. R. Floyd and Betty Jean Hedrick Floyd.  She was a graduate of Central Davidson High School and attended Davidson County Community College.  She worked for First Union Bank and later was co-owner, and Secretary /Treasurer of Greg’s Termite and Pest Control Company.  She was a member of Holloways Baptist Church where she had served as a Sunday School Teacher.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Hancock and a sister Robin Floyd.

The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Clayton and the nursing staff of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and the Staff of Hinkle Hospice for their loving care.  They would also like to thank Rev. Clyde Akers, Rev Benny Vickery and Rev. Glen Gunter.
