Brenda Ann Myers

Brenda Ann Myers, a cherished resident of Denton, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on a Thursday, July 18, 1946, in Davidson County, Brenda lived a life of dedication, resilience, and love. She was also of baptist faith.

Brenda was a committed laborer at PPG in Lexington, NC, where she worked diligently for many years. Her colleagues remember her as a hardworking and reliable team member whose kind spirit and gentle smile could brighten the dullest of days. Brenda enjoyed many hobbies including shopping, making crafts, puzzles, spending time with family, coloring, and painting.

Brenda was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Oscar Thomas Watkins and Frances Drucella Watkins, her devoted husband Thurman Myers, and her fur baby Nala. She drew strength and support from their loving memories throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughters, Amy McLeod (Lonnie) and Tammy Mills both of Denton, sons Keith Hagler (Penny) of Lexington and Bryan Garner of Denton, brother Allen Watkins (Teresa) of Denton, sister Duck Owens (Larry) of Lexington. Also surviving, are many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her companion James Scarlett (Benji), and fur baby Oreo.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM Monday January 27th at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with Reverend Rock Hedrick officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Lexington City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11AM Monday at the funeral home.

Brenda Ann Myers touched the hearts of all who knew her through her warmth, dedication, and strength. Her legacy of love and resilience will forever be cherished by friends and family alike. In her passing, she leaves behind a community that will deeply miss her presence but will carry forward the values she embodied: hard work, kindness, and unconditional love.
