Brenda Kay Brawley Thompson, age 77 of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 4, 2021.
The family will hold a private service.
Brenda was born on January 24, 1944 in Mooresville, NC to Richard Bayne Brawley and Rosa Mae Kiser Brawley. She retired as an assistant principal with the Davidson County School System and was a member of Paul’s Chapel Reformed Church. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Allan E. Thompson, of the home; son, Chris Thompson (Aprile) of Lexington; daughter, Tammy Carhart (John) of Lexington; brother, Ricky Brawley (Joy) of Charlotte; sister, Barbara Taylor (Jack) of Little River, SC; 6 grandchildren, Zach Eller, Kaitlyn Berrier (Clay), Eric Carhart (Heather), Brandie Curlee (Jordan), Nathan Thompson, Kinley Thompson and 4 great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Luke, Finleigh and Adelae.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27295 or NC Lions Foundation, 7050 Camp Dogwood Dr., Sherrills Ford, NC 28673.
