Brenda Varner Smith

Brenda Varner Smith, age 66 of Lexington passed away Wednesday afternoon at Forsyth Medical Center. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Thursday at St. Andrews Church with Rev. Doug McGee officiating. Brenda was born in Davidson County, December 23, 1946 to Ernest W. and Lois Hunt Varner. She was a retired CNA 2 with Home Health Care and of the Baptist Faith. Surviving are husband Ronnie smith of Lexington; daughters, Linda Shilling and JoAnna Hayes both of Lexington; son Jimmy Hayes of Lexington; 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ula Strickland and Linda Aldridge of Lexington and Ernestine Bullin of Clemmons; brother, Jerry Varner of Mocksville.
