Brenda Whitaker Thompson

Brenda Whitaker Thompson, age 57 of Clearview Street, Lexington passed away Friday morning (Sept. 30, 2011) at Lexington Medical Center.  Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Sunday (October 2, 2011) at the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with Rev. James Messer officiating.  Burial will be at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Davie County.   The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 1:00 until 2:00 pm Sunday prior to the service and at other times at the home of her mother on Clearview Drive.   Brenda was born in Iredell County, February 19, 1954 to Delmas Harley Whitaker and Hazel Mae Marlowe Whitaker.  She attended Pilgrim Free Will Baptist Church and was a former CNA. She was preceded in death by her father.   Surviving are; her mother, Hazel Marlowe Wagner of Lexington; one son, Christopher Thompson and wife Dawn of Lexington; four grandchildren, Josh, Will, Brianna and Christian; her sister, Trula Perrell of Lexington; two brothers, Keith and Kenneth Wagner of Lexington; her special companion, Stanley Allen.   Online condolences may be made at www.davidsonfuneralhome.net
