Brenda Young

Brenda Gibson Young, 77 of Young Road in Lexington, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on May 5, 2021 at Beck’s Lutheran Church Cemetery with Pastor Paul Harder officiating.  The family will visit with friends at the home on Young Road after the graveside service.

Brenda was born on October 21, 1943 in Montgomery County to Barna Lineberry Gibson, Sr. and Mary Francis Jordan Gibson.  She took pride in taking care of her family and her home.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother and will be greatly missed.  Brenda was a member of The Arbor Lutheran Church and was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Frank “Bucky” Young, Jr. and brother Dexter Gibson.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tony Young (Libby) of Wilmington, NC, Edward Young (Ann) of Lexington,  Frankie Young (Kimberly) of Lexington, Stevie Young of Holly Springs, NC; brother, Barna Lineberry Gibson, Jr. (MaryAnn); sister, Peggy Corbett; sister-in-law Carol Gibson; and 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
