Brent "Russ" Russell Essick

Brent Russell Essick, age 49, of Arnold Road, died Tuesday May 22, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. David Hedrick and David Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2013, at the funeral home and other times at the home. Mr. Essick was born September 18, 1963, in Davidson County, to Boyd Russell Essick and Virginia Dare Hanes Weisner. He was a crew chief at Davidson Water. His father preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Karla Ragsdale Essick of the home; sons, Bradley Essick, Brandon Essick and Brody Essick and girlfriend Molly, all of Lexington; a grandson, Liam; his mother of Lexington; sister, Tammy Michael and husband Gary of Lexington; step-mother, Nancy Essick of Sophia; step brother, Bill Essick of Sophia; in laws, Frank and Nancy Ragsdale, Dalton and Robin, Kim and Ted, Kelly, and Kristie and William; and many nieces and nephews.
