Bruce Reid Beck

Bruce Reid Beck, 75, of Robert Beck Road, died Monday, June 18, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House. A graveside service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, where he was a member, with the Rev. Darrell Sluder officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church fellowship hall and other times at the home. Mr. Beck was born September 7, 1936, in Davidson County, to Charles Reid Beck and Doris Crotts Beck. He attended Elon University and was a retired Lieutenant from the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. Surviving are his loving wife, Sandra Hilton Beck of the home; son, Tim Beck and wife Regina of Lexington; daughters, Julie Matthews and husband Mark of East Bend and Leah Baker and husband Mark of Lexington; and grandchildren, Mckinley Baker, Hylton Baker, Sheridan Baker, Heather Beck, Emily Beck all of Lexington and Alan Forester of East Bend.
