Edward “Buddy” Meachum, age 65, of North County Home Road, Lexington died Saturday afternoon in Forsyth Medical Center.
Graveside Services will be conducted at 4:00 pm Tuesday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ Cemetery with Rev. Carl Miller and Rev. Nick Speas officiating.
Buddy was born in Davidson County, to Edward Jay Meachum, Sr. and Edith Yarborough Meachum. He was a Graduate of Lexington Senior High School Class of 1960, a Graduate of Winston Salem Barber School, member of Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ, and a retired employee of Davidson County Schools. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Kathryn Meachum.
Surviving are: wife Dixie Andrew Meachum of the home, Son; Jay Meachum and wife Susan of King, NC, Daughter; Ellen Meachum of Winston Salem, 2 Grandsons; Joey and Brandon Meachum, Brother; James “Jim” Meachum and wife Marlene of Lexington, sister; Carol Jackson and husband Phil of Lexington, special Mother In Law; Helen C. Andrew of Greensboro, NC
The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington from 6 until 8 pm Monday night and at other times at the home.
