"Buddy" Bayard Sink, Jr.

Buddy Sink, age 73, passed away August 6, 2024, at Hinkle House Hospice. A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Journey Church at 61 Biesecker Road in Lexington with Pastor Mark Rachels, Pastor Matt Leonard, and Rev. Chip Webb officiating. Visitation will follow the service. Buddy was born January 1, 1951, in Davidson County to Bayard Sink Sr. and Margaret Sink Reagan. He attended Journey Church and truly loved his church family. He retired from Sink's Formica which he owned. He worked part time after retirement for Koontz and Goforth as maintenance supervisor where he made friends with many of the tenants. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather "PawPaw" and friend to all. He is preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, Elizabeth Sink, his brother, Tony Sink, and half-brother, Dennie Marble. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 54 years Phyllis Swicegood Sink, his children: Jason Bayard Sink of Roanoke, VA and Tonya Sink Walser of Hickory, NC, three grandchildren; Madison Walser, Jake Walser, and McKenna Walser, three great-grandchildren; Riley Walser, Carter Eller, and Adam Eller. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Brenner Children's Hospital and/or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
