Burnette Monteith

Nancy “Burnette” Monteith, 80, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at the WFBH-Lexington Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held in the Holly Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery at 2 pm on Monday, February 15, 2021 with the Rev. Anna Carter officiating.

Ms. Monteith was born in Swain County, NC on January 22, 1941 to Buford Jackson Monteith and Virgie Lucille Crisp Monteith. She was a retired controller, having worked for Center Clair Nursing Home and was a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church. Ms. Monteith was a loving mother and aunt whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Conrad.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Robert Willson and special friend JoAnna Karfit and her son, Jacob; a niece, Sherry Proctor (Ted); two nephews, Jim Conrad (Ellen) and Jack Conrad (Jeri); sister, Velma Arvey and brother, Marvin Cable (Charlotte); great-nieces, Jessica (Quan), Brandi (Randall), Keeli (Brent), and Chrissy (Stephen); great-nephews, Jon (Aimee) and Jay; a great-great niece, Kodi; and great-great nephews, Logan, Beau, Camden, Finn, Bryce, Noah, and Ian.

Memorials may be directed to the Holly Grove Lutheran Church Scholarship Fund at 212 Holly Grove Lutheran Church Rd, Lexington, NC 27292.
