Dillard “Buster” Avery Cochran, 75, of Lexington went to be with his Lord and Savior on February 4, 2023, at the Hinkle Hospice House.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, in the Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Gunter officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm on Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
Buster was born on March 30, 1947, in Bryson City to Jack Avery Cochran and Gracie Watkins Hill. He was a retired Inventory Control Manager, having worked for HBD Industries in Salisbury, and more recently enjoyed driving part time for M&L Motor Company. Buster was a member of Holloways Baptist Church, and proudly served his country in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Cochran.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Judy Young Cochran; his sons, Jonathan Cochran (Amanda), Marty Smith (Kim), and Lynn Cochran; and his four precious grandchildren, Lucas and Noah Smith, and Rylee and Paxton Cochran.
