Ray "Buster" Lafeyette Fritts Sr., 75, of Taylors Park Road, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009, at his home.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairmont Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, by the Revs. Randy Hall and Ronnie Perdue. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mr. Fritts was born Nov. 10, 1934, in Davidson County to Shirley Ardd Fritts and Moleta Jane Biesecker Fritts. He had worked for PPG Industries and Burlington Furniture. Preceding him in death were his parents and a son, Ray L. Fritts Jr.
Surviving are five daughters, Martha McDaniel of London, England, Theresa Dawn Westbrook, Frankie Hughes and her husband, Jimmy, and Penny Perdue and her husband, Ronnie, all of Lexington, and Dee Anne DeBusk of Greensboro; nine grandchildren, Jimmy Hughes, Jeanette Tate, Charity Cagle, Joseph Westbrook, Tina Westbrook, Shana Benton, Allison Haley, Josh DeBusk and Jacob Fritts; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry S. Fritts of Lexington; three sisters, Evelyn Hayes and Rachel Shytle, both of Lexington, and Carolyn Haden of Asheboro; and his special buddy, Brandy.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at daughter Penny Perdue's home, 3830 N.C. Highway 150 South, Lexington.
