Byron Graves East Jr.

Byron Graves East, Jr., age 76, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, passed away on April 26,2026, peacefully at home.

Byron was born on August 17, 1949, and was predeceased by his parents, Byron Graves East, Sr. and Mary Louise Talley East, of Newport News, Va., and his beloved sister, Linda East Walsh.  He graduated from Warwick High School in 1967. Byron was a born athlete and pitched a no-hitter while still in Junior High.

He found his true calling in Real Estate, beginning at Hubbard Realty and going on to serve the Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors in the following capacities:

President of Winston-Salem Multiple Listing Service 2000

Member Board of Directors Triad Multiple Listing Service 2001-2004

Reginal Director for North Carolina Association of Realtors 2004-2005

Vice President Board of Directors with Winston-Salem Regional Association of Realtors 2005-2006

Byron was well known for his high ethics and was always careful to make sure his clients, both buyers and sellers, got the best deals in a lawful manner.

Byron loved good music, was a good dancer, and never met a stranger.  He is survived by Phyllis East, his wife of 54 years; his children, Nathan East (Charity) of Edenton, NC, and Molly Snart (James), of Winston-Salem; and his grandsons, Trevor and Miles Snart.
