C. Raymond Hutchinson

September 22, 1937 — February 3, 2013

Clarence Raymond (Ray) Hutchinson, Jr. age, 75 of Happy Hill Road, Lexington passed away Sunday afternoon at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Reeds Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Tuesday and at other times at the home. Ray was born in Philadelphia, PA, on September 22, 1937 to Clarence Raymond Hutchinson and Christine Hart Hutchinson. He was a member of Reeds Baptist Church and had served as a Trustee. Ray was a former employee of PPG, Bost Bakery in Thomasville and retired from Thomas Manufacturing; and was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Elizabeth Scotton and Mary Helen Bornstein. Ray is survived by his wife of 54 years, Deanne Hill Hutchinson of the home; daughters, Jill Hutchinson, Marcie Treadway, husband Chris, Christy Hedrick, husband William and Landace Swicegood husband John all of Lexington; sons, Clarence Raymond (Trip) Hutchinson, III, wife Hollie and Matthew Hutchinson wife Charla all of Lexington; 14 grandchildren, Sarah Young, Robert Young, wife Samantha, Kit Treadway, Zachary Treadway, Lee Friedrich, Emily Hutchinson, Lauren Treadway, Clarence Raymond (Clay) Hutchinson, IV, Jonathan Hedrick, Nicholas Friedrich, Madison Treadway, Riley Hutchinson, Maddie Hutchinson and Zoey Swicegood; 2 great-grandchildren, Luke Young and Dillon McAfee; 2 step-grandchildren, Stephanie Mann and Lindsey Hedrick; 1 step-great-grandchild, Katelyn Mann.
