Charles Glenn James, age 74 of Giles Road Lexington, went home to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly Friday, December 2, 2016. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Worley and Dr. Harold Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday night and at other times at the home. Glenn was born in Davidson County, June 25, 1942 to Foy Lee James and Ethel Hartman James. He was the retired founder of James Heating and Air and a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Virginia Huffman James of the home; daughters, Tina Cooper (Earl) of Linwood; Mary Ann James McGee (Keith) of Lexington; son, David Lee James of Lexington; grandchildren, Tressa McGee Barkley (Justin)and Tanner McGee; brothers, Grady James (Shirley) of Clemmons; Garland James, Melvin James (Shirley, Vernon James and Van James all of Lexington; numerous nieces and nephews.
