Callie Marie Jarvis Kepley, age 87, of Rosemary Drive, Lexington passed away Friday morning at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Graveside service will be held 2 pm Monday (April 11, 2011) at Forest Hill Memorial Park, with Rev. June Grubb officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill.
There will be no public visitation, the family will be at their respective homes.
Callie was born in Davidson County, March 23, 1924 to Arthur Richard Jarvis and Pearl Tysinger Jarvis. She was a homemaker and a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chester “Chess” Kepley in 1976; two brothers, C.J. and Foy Jarvis.
Surviving are; two daughters, Janice Fritts and husband Dale, Lynn Smith and husband, Randy, all of Lexington; two sons, Reid Kepley and wife, Rosemary, of Thomasville, Steve Kepley and wife, Pam, of Woodleaf; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Suann Clark.
