Calvin Lonzo Bryant 79 of Hillside Drive, Lexington passed away Tuesday November 25, 2014 at Hinkle Hospice House.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Saturday November 29, 2014 at First Assembly of God, where he was a member conducted by Pastor Vernon Richmeier. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 pm Friday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. The family will also receive in the church fellowship hall following the service.
Calvin was born December 6, 1934 in Greenbriar County West Virginia to Lonnie and Maggie Marie Simmons Bryant. He was a retired supervisor with W. H. Sullivan Company in Greensboro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gordon Lydard, and his twin brother, Melvin Bryant.
Surviving are his wife, Pauline Leith Bryant of the home; his daughters, Charlenee Bryant of Virginia, Brenda (Steve) Bryant of South Carolina, Donna (Glenn) Cook of Pennsylvania, Diana (Ronnie) Bryant and Jo Anne (Jonathan) Bryant, both of Maryland, Teresa Harris of Durham, and Carmen Tetter of Welcome; his sons, Buster Lydard of Maryland, John (Tina) Bryant of Maryland, and Mark Lydard of Florida; his sister, Mary Sue (Mark) Stine of Florida; 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, four nieces, two great nieces, four great nephews, and two great great nephews.
