Calvin Eugene "Gene" Haralson

Calvin Eugene “Gene” Haralson, 66, of Pennington Ave., Lexington passed away Friday, March 4, 2016 in Hinkle Hospice House after declining health for several years. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2016 in Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. James Messer officiating. The family will receive friends and family at the church one hour prior to the service and other times at the home. Mr. Haralson was born October 4, 1949 in Davidson County to William Ernest Haralson and Virginia Allene Haralson. He was a retired machine operator for Stone Container and a member of Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church. Preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are his wife, Becky Loman Haralson of the home; a daughter, Maria Newton of Lexington; a grandson, Benjamin Newton; a brother, Larry Haralson (Etheleen) of Lexington and a sister, Brenda Blevins of Lexington and several nieces and nephews Memorials may be directed to Pilgrim Freewill Baptist Church, W. 7th Ave., Lexington, NC 27292 or to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292
