Calvin Wesley Harris

Calvin Wesley “C.W.” Harris, age 73 or Sunflower Drive, Lexington passed away Friday (Nov. 6, 2009) at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Monday (Nov. 9, 2009) at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Max Shoaf and Pastor Roger Mills officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Calvin was born in Yadkin County, March 15, 1936 to Everette Harris and Fannie Belle Long Harris. He attended Higher Ground Baptist Church and was a retired electrician with Colter Electric. Surviving are; wife of 34 years, Lorine Cox Harris of the home; step-son, Russell Hilton and wife Marilyn of Newark, Ohio; two step-grandchildren, Garrett Hilton and Courtney Hilton Hawbecker; one brother Dan Harris of Jonesville; two sisters Peggy Phaff of Winston Salem and Vera Wilkins of Huntington Beach, CA The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm Sunday.
