Calvin Odell Everhart, 80, of Horseshoe Neck Road, went to be with his Lord and Saviour Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. David Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of his son, Rocky Everhart on Homewood Lane. Mr. Everhart was born May 24, 1936, in Davidson County, to James Roosevelt Everhart and Nannie Jane Prevette Everhart. He was owner/operator of Everhart Roofing and a member of Madison Heights Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Green and Alma Rose Lopp. Surviving are his loving wife, Eva Elliott Everhart of the home; sons, Randy Everhart and wife Dana, Rocky Everhart and wife Vicki, Glenn Grubb and wife Ruth and Brian Grubb and wife Amy, all of Lexington; daughter, Starr Everhart of Greensboro; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Sofsian, Allison Willis, Christy Hiller, Eric Everhart, Heather Everhart, Kelsey and Sydney Rumley, Natalie Curtess, Rebecca Grubb, and Matthew Grubb; great-grandchildren, Abby, Stella, Josie, Carson, Claire, Lexi, Layce, Jonah, Rilaugh, and Parker.
