Calvin "Peanut" Caudle

Calvin “Peanut” Vernon Caudle, 86, of Arrington Drive Lexington, died Wednesday October 9, 2019 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem.

A funeral service will be held 4:00 pm Sunday at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington with Rev. Darrell Cartrette conducting services.

Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends  prior to the service from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and at other times at the home of the daughter on Hanes Acres Drive in Lexington.

Mr. Caudle was born December 4, 1932 in Yadkin County North Carolina to Thurman Charles Caudle and Levada Nancy Shore Caudle. Mr. Caudle attended Mt. Carmel Free Will Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Industries. After retirement he was employed part time with Davis Chevrolet for 20 years.   He was preceded in death by his parents;  his four brothers, Charlie Caudle, Seamon Caudle, David Caudle and Leo Caudle; and one sister, Earlene Houck.

Surviving is his wife Nancy Jean Everhart Caudle of the home; two sons, Calvin Caudle and Tony Caudle both of Lexington; one daughter, Wanda Hanes (Ricky) of Lexington; one brother, Alvis Caudle of Yadkinville; 6 grandchildren, Angela (Larry), Natasha, Erica (Grayson), Ryan (Katie), Jordan (Brandi), and Tyler(Alexa); and 10 great-grandchildren.
