Calvin Arthur Younts Sr.

Calvin Arthur Younts Sr, 87, of Reedy Creek, North Carolina went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 30, 2022. He was born to Wade Oscar Younts and Mary Lou Walser on November 14, 1934.

A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Reedy Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Farrell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm prior to service in the sanctuary.

Calvin grew up working hard on his family's farm, and after retiring from a Cadillac dealership in High Point he continued to work that same land that his father did before him. He enjoyed working on cars, but farming was his passion, and he was known in the community by many for peddling delicious vegetables.

He was preceded in death by his parents, half-brother Odell Byerly (Vaudie), brothers Floyd Younts (Virginia), and Glenn Younts (Gloria), and sisters Dorothy Younts Byerly (Bud), and Treavie Younts Weaver (Ray Von).

Calvin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Eva Manuel Younts; sons Calvin Younts Jr (Patsy), and David Younts (Tracey); daughter Sherry Scales (Dennis); grandchildren Megan Yokeley and Nathan Scales (Allison); and two great-grandchildren, Camden Yokeley and Emilia Scales.
